Look out bunnies!

This is the last shot for my table top WPUNJ image. I shoot each image as the students look on so they can then do them for themselves the next week. They learn how to light different things by #1. seeing me shoot them and then #2. shoot them themselves. We'll see how they do next Monday...

In the bathroom with Whitney Houston

I got to photography Whitney Houston along with Bebe & Cece Winans at a NJ Nets basketball game back in the early '90's for a radio station. She was there along with her mom Cissy and a girlfriend. It was a trip to listen to all four (2 Winans & 2 Houstons) singing just for fun in the Net's bathroom before the show. Commercial photography takes you places you would never imagine... We'll miss you girl.

One Pretty Dodge

You have to admit, this is one beautiful car. I'm trying to loosen up my car photography. I want the images to look great, but real. I am best known for food and fashion but when the job to shoot a car comes in, I want to be ready and keeping up to date is important. I can still shoot cars in a studio with perfect highlights, but I am enjoying this looser style.

Breakfast

This was breakfast last Wednesday. I poured myself some Post Honey Bunches of Oats and when I saw the morning sunlight streak across the bowl, I could't resist grabbing my camera. By the way, the cereal was yummy!

Too busy to post

I've been busy (thankfully) lately. I especially appreciate this during this current recession (my third since opening my studio). This job was a lot of fun. I spent three days shooting in a high security storage facility in NYC's upper east side. This job involved shooting still-lifes of many different antiques that were going to auction. These were for the catalog. I shot a Chagall pastel as well as other works of art, furniture and many beautiful things. The room I set up in was small so I had to get creative with the light. I even lit the art work with my modeling lights (tungsten) because I couldn't get the strobes low enough.
Hey, it's money with a camera and in the end it was all fun.

more rock 'n roll

As a photographer I love teaching because it keeps me connected to kids. I have 2 of my own and it even helps me communicate with them. To that end I also love to help out the screaming rock bands. This was a shoot for their Think Quick clothing line. They were tons of fun. Just like it should be...

Wolves vs Lions

Okay, I'm old. But I love hanging (for limited amounts of time) around with the bands that Wolves vs Lions designs shirts for. This band is Ender plus there were some shots of friends of the company. The shoot was fun and we got 12 GB of great shots. Remember: if it's not fun, it's not worth doing......
